Director, Ophthalmology

Responsible for all aspects of managing designated region with revenue of approximately $30M. The incumbent works alongside the Regional Sales Managers and is primarily in the field supporting Independent Manufacturing Representatives (IMRs) as well as partnering with other manufacturers and companies that sell Leica products. Responsible for the leadership and driving growth in the Ophthalmology segment. In addition, responsible for understanding, analyzing, and presenting new/changes to the North America Go-To-Market Strategies.

Manage North America distribution for the medical market segments, managing the overall region sales pipeline.(i.e. by stage, Value Selling, win/loss analysis, etc.)
Provide strategy, plan, and leadership to grow the Ophthalmology business in line with the strategic plan. Understand current Go-To-Market Strategies and present potential adjustments to improve market penetration
Develop annual strategic plan for the region of responsibility for entire Medical portfolio
Measure and manage the IMR performance
Effectively partner with all internal Leica departments and Regional Sales Managers
Manage price discount
Manage expenses
Cultivate long-term partnerships with current and potential IMRs
Source and recruit IMR partners for vacant areas
Support market research and analysis (VOC) in close co-operation with internal Leica departments globally
Conduct product presentations and training
Support marketing planning for the market
Minimum 7 years in technical capital equipment sales
Minimum 3 years managing either employees or distributors/partners
Prefer experience with surgical microscopy within the Ophthalmology segment
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Travel (required estimated 70% of time)-includes 5% international

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
